Previous Symposia

Since 2010, the Society has had a symposium every 2 years at a location that varies worldwide. The 1st Symposium of ISCAID took place in September 2010, in Toulouse, France, and consisted of a pre-congress (ISCAID) day followed by a Congress day in conjunction with the European Society for Veterinary Internal Medicine (ESVIM) program. The following symposia were 2.5-day meetings held in the fall.

Locations have been San Francisco, California (November 14-17, 2012); Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, Canada [October 19-22, 2014; also the first meeting to be held in conjunction with the International Feline Retrovirus Research Symposium (IFRRS)]; Bristol, England (October 16-19, 2016); and Portland, Oregon (September 30 to October 3, 2018).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our plans for the 2020 in-person symposium were replaced by our first virtual ISCAID Symposium (September 10-11, 2020).

The 6th symposium was held at the Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow, UK from September 4-7, 2022.

ISCAID also organizes specialty tracks at the annual ACVIM Forum and ECVIM-CA Congress in coordination with these specialty colleges.
