Membership Benefits

ISCAID members will receive a password that provides access to a website containing information on research funding opportunities, selected research abstracts, case examples, images, relevant meetings, a discussion forum, news, and links to other related websites, including funding bodies, societies, and teaching resources. They will have opportunities to participate in multicenter clinical studies in companion animal infectious diseases, as well as opportunities to contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and position statements for companion animal infectious diseases. They will also be able to apply for research funding through the Society as funds become available.

Individuals can become members of the society through completing an application form and payment online. Existing members can renew their membership using the same link.

Full Members of the Society must have one of the following: 1) a professional medical degree (eg. DVM, BVSc, MD, DDS, or degrees considered equivalent by the Board), 2) a PhD or MS degree in one of the biological sciences, or 3) recognition by the Board as an active scientific contributor to companion animal infectious diseases.  Full Members must renew membership biennially.

Honorary Members may be chosen as an award to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to companion animal infectious diseases research.

Student Membership

Training or Student Members must be students in a veterinary school recognized by the American Veterinary Medical Association, students enrolled in medical or dental professional school, students actively pursuing the MS or PhD degree in one of the biological sciences, or interns, residents or fellows in a veterinary clinical specialty field. Training members pay reduced biennial dues, and must renew membership biennially. Training members are not eligible to vote or hold office in the Society.
